Privacy Policy
I don't collect much information about you, and what I do collect, I don't sell.
I built this website to share my thinking and occasionally acquire clients. I did not build it to harvest your data. I believe you should be able to read something on the internet without being tracked, analyzed, and added to seventeen marketing databases.
This policy reflects that belief. I collect what I need to provide the services you've asked for, and nothing more.
If you have questions about any of this, email me at ann@greataveruins.com.
What I collect
If you subscribe to my newsletter, I collect your email address. That is all. I use it to send you the newsletter you asked for, and nothing else.
If you contact me through the website form, I receive whatever information you choose to send: typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. I use this to respond to you.
If you commission work from me, I collect the information necessary to complete that work and send you an invoice: name, email, company details if relevant, payment information. I keep this information for accounting purposes as required by law.
What I don't collect
I don't use Google Analytics or any other tracking software. I don't know how long you spent on this page, what you clicked on, where you came from, or where you went next. I find I can run a business without this information.
I don't use cookies except the absolute minimum required to make the contact form work.
I don't collect your browsing history, your device information, your location, or anything else you haven't explicitly given me.
What I do with what I collect
Your email address goes into my newsletter system. It stays there. I don't share it, sell it, or give it to third parties for marketing purposes.
Your contact form messages go to my email. I read them and respond to them. Then they sit in my email archive like any other correspondence.
If you're a client, your information goes into my accounting system and my project files. I keep it as long as legally required for tax purposes, then I delete it.
